Diagnosis & Guide Treatment
Neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS) is an efficient, inexpensive and painless tool that is becoming standard practice across all exceptional EMG/NCT centers. Recent advances in ultrasound technology have made this 20-year-old technology widely available and applicable. Use of NMUS is endorsed by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). NMUS compliments EMG/NCT. EMG/NCT demonstrates nerve damage; NMUS tells us why.
You will be able to return to normal daily activities after the tests. The physician who ordered the tests usually has the results within 24 hours.
